THE PUZZLING KAMALA HARRIS CHOICE

BUT REVEALING CHOICE:
1. Joe is just an empty suit.  He is being controlled by others.
2. Kamala’s only plus for Biden is that she might blunt the devastating  charge that the Dems are weak on law and order—an issue that is paramount in every voter’s mind right now in the face of the frightening violent riots and unrest in Democrat controlled cities.

The Biden campaign has made a choice for VP.  The Biden handlers chose the puzzling Ms Kamala Harris, (is it Kam-ala or Kam-A-la ?).    Kamala was  born in California, the child of immigrants from India and Jamaica, and named after a Hindu goddess.  At the age of. seven she and her family left the USA for Canada ( did they take up citizenship there?). where she was raised in relative  affluence and privilege by university professor parents  ( a cancer researcher  and economist) who sent her to an elite private high school.  Kamala  returned to the USA to enroll in Howard University in DC for her bachelor degree, then went on to Hastings Law in California for her law degree.  There she landed a low paying job as assistant prosecutor for Alameda County.

When a relationship blossomed between young prosecutor  Kamala and politically powerful  (30 years her senior) State Rep Willy Brown she hit pay dirt.  On Rep. Willy Brown’s arm at his many political parties and soirées  she was able to meet and network with the elites of California politics.. To support her financially, in a style that was more appropriate to her aspirations, her powerful man friend Rep Willy Brown appointed her to a no-show California commission for which she had little or no credentials  or preparation.  (This does remind one of Joe Biden’s son Hunter who infamously also profited in this very same way.  So Joe and Kamala do have something in common.) .  The commission. which met once a month for an hour,  paid a salary equivalent to that of a California State Senator.  After several years of high income and affluence she left that Commission.  Brown appointed her to another Commission for which she was even less prepared but which paid considerably more.  More good pay years for no work on tax payers dime.

From this position of financial stability and political connectedness she was able to run for her first elected state position.  Being a woman, and a woman of color and living in California was not a hindrance or a stumbling stumbling block for minorities as some on the left would claim...It is clear Harris made it all work for her personal benefit.

But back to Joe.  Why would Joe choose a Kamala?  I think the choice reveals two things about the Biden campaign.

One. Joe is not making any decisions.  Joe is a fragile old man, an empty suit with a long denied hunger to be President.  He gets his orders from the Dem handlers.  As long as his “handlers” promise him —if elected—that Joe will sit  behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office for a while, he will do anything they say.  A real leader—a Reagan, a Clinton, or a Trump would not want an aggressive, pushy VP upstaging him (or her) as “co-President” which is exactly what Biden’s team  are setting up for.

“Dr” Jill Biden— not affected by dementia like Joe—complained about the Harris choice, rightly so,  but she—like Joe  have no power to make decisions.

Two. The Biden camp chose Harris because they fear the backlash from the lawlessness and riots in Democrat cities.  Think of it!  Kamal brings no real advantages.  She comes from a state the Dems will win easily.  She  is not popular with the left progressive wing.  She is not personable or charming or likable   She lost miserably in the primaries. She is not African American.  That alone would weaken the draw that Biden needs in the black community to win.  And finally, she comes with a long record of positions that do not align with the progressive wing of the party and will encourage defections.

But she has been a “tough on crime” prosecutor.  So her only asset to the Biden Camp is that she can somewhat blunt the thrust of the the Trump campaign that the Democrats are weak on crime, policing, and safety.  (The widely published video report of black rioters marching through the streets of DCs toney Georgetown area in the early hours of the morning Is a most recent example.  The rioters stomped  on BLM lawn sings and blew horns and screamed slogans  to awaken residents so as to register their complaints .  This image went viral and frightened a large segment of the voting community even outside of DC.  What can these residents think?  We are not safe—even in Georgetown, and even with a BLM sign on our lawn.) 

Will the Kamala choice work?  I think not. The Democrats started these riots and nudged them along assuming  that the Black Lives Matter Issue would motivate the black vote and push them across the finish line as winners . But the riots have now become a frightful, repugnant deficit—they can not control.   The violence has registered  in the minds of many independents and democrat-fence sitters (and even the black community).  The Democrats appear to those outside of the DC  bubble. as the party of  chaos.  They are Now identified as the  party that favors defunding a strong police force, the party that encourages violence, a party working against law and order and peaceful streets and cities where citizens can conduct business and live safely.   Who in this nation favors those issues?

The Dems  blew it.  The awful riots will take them down.  Their hope that a Kamala -might make them look more “moderate“ on the law and order issue Is a long shot. .

According to an  address reported by the UPS (8-7-20). US Attorney General Barr spoke of  our evolving legal and foreign policies regarding China.   Barr stated that American companies should realize how they’ve gotten to be where they are. They are the world’s most advanced and profitable because their development was based on American economic policies which encourage entrepreneurial spirit, because of American military protection of our takers and because ofAmerican affluence and American cultural  principles and constitutional rights.

He could not be more correct. Unfortunately, American companies have little use for history or for historic indebtedness. They deal only in edit and bottom line. Their involvement  in China has cost us dearly in jobs, wealth and in health.  Our policies toward China,a nation which has emerged as one of our most pressing economic and military threats needs drastic reevaluation and have been under President Trump 

But in regard to China the USA created the problem we face.    Other than the development of the gunpowder for use in fire cracker displays in ancient times (and some claim- with little evidence—  the creation  of pasta, the  Chinese have invented nothing. 

Every modern technology China possesses—even their communist Marxist Leninist philosophy  has been co-opted or stolen from the west.  So there’s no “Chinese technology “   China is a construction of the west. It is a monster created by western greed and stupidity.  Everything that they have is or once was ours. 

These acquisitions were acquired either by outright stealing or by  leveraging access to their massive markets (of 1.4 billion consumers)  against the greed of American company owners looking to expand their markets and make a short term “killing”.   

CEOs of elite US companies gladly handed over trade secrets,  proprietary materials and even dismantled whole processing and manufacturing plants and transferred them to China for that access.  In the process these CEOs made themselves rich as Croesus, as they dismantled and destroyed the economies (and communities) over vast swaths of our nation by transferring well paying jobs from the  USA  to China in the most massive transfer of wealth and technology in history.   

Greed in the US business community and indifference and complicity in DC is the source of the problem we face with modern China. Other than the blatant greed of US businesses it was our political leaders of both parties took lobby money from these same companies to support the robbery of the American  nation.  

Joe Biden, President  Obama, the Clintons and others were all in on these hugely profitable “deals making China our “trade partner” and giving them favored status.  As US workers faced unemployment, despair and opioid addiction  these Democrat “traitors to the American worker” made billions and millions lining their own pockets.  as they colluded with China.  To protect their profitable “China connection  scheme” they advanced the fantasy that it was “Russia which was our mortal enemy”.  

To our Democrat leaders in DC China was innocent of evil intent. It was simply a benign competitor.  Remember all of these elite DC folks had economic ties to China —but Russia (no money to be made there!) was the “real” threat to us.  

When in 2015 a GOP candidate came along pointing out the truth of China’s duplicity and the existential danger of the US policy of “Chinafication” they ruthlessly attacked this candidate as a “tool” of Russia and advanced the fabrication (supported  and paid for by the Cintons) that this GOP candidate was under  the control of Mr Putin.  While,  ironically, they were the Chinese culprits controlled by greed and Chineses demands. 

It was the Coronavirus 19 which finally exposed the Chinese communist leadership for what they are.   Mortal enemies attempting to brig down the USA as they strive for economic and military world hegemony. 

When the Covid19 outbreak occurred in Wuhan Province China the Chinese government immediately hid the discovery that the former bat virus had developed the ability to infect humans and then transfer from one human to another. Chinese scientists who attempted to reveal this were arrested and silenced.  At this time the government began secret attempts at corralling up world stocks of n95masks, gowns, ventilators and other equipment they knew would become needed and valuable.  

They immediately tightly closed down infected Wuhan province. No one was allowed in and no one out to other Chinese cities.   No planes left Wuhan for Beijing.  But they did not restrict international flights in and out of Wuhan    On those critical days infected Chinese travelled in the thousands to the USA and Europe!   

The  pandemic deaths the economic impact on he world is incalculable  and right up there with World war.

Vladimir Putin has claimed (August 10 2020 ) that Russia has successfully developed a vaccine for Coronavirus 19. Putin revealed that his two daughters have been vaccinated and that mass production will begin very soon.  According to Le figaro.fr. Putin  claimed that the vaccine was effective and that it provided “durable” immunity.  The article states  that phase three tests involving thousands of subjects have not ended,  but will commence this coming Wednesday. 

The vaccine has been termed “Sputnik V” in honor of Russia’s  first manned flight into earth orbit. Putin has added that more than a billion doses have been prepared for twenty foreign countries  and that industrial production will commence in September.  Developed by the Ministry of  Defense in cooperation with the  Russian firm “ Binnopharm”, the vaccine is planned to be in wide circulation by January 1, 2021. 

The idea —of an early vaccine—when suggested by President Trump, was widely panned by our politicized  media—but much as President Trump predicted—The Russians proved it is possible.   Perhaps this will stimulate our American counterparts and we will also see wide production here byJanuary 2021! 

BIDEN THUMBS NOSE AT CATHOLIC VOTE

This says it all:   Joe Biden —has gone to his knees for the new left Dems when he abandoned his support for the Hyde Amendment (forcing Catholics and others of faith to go against their conscience when their tax dollars are used to pay for abortions which they oppose). 

Catholics were once a solid voter block  for the Democrats.  But that was in the 1960s   Today’s practicing  Catholics are excluded from the New Left Democrat Party. For good reason. The modern Democrats have moved so far left they have left 40 to 50 million Catholic voters on a dusty roadside-as their shiny NewLeft Dem (with yellow lettering “Black Lives Matter” ) bus roars off down the road into the eastern socialist sunset.

Catholics today face the reality of the Far Left New Dems who have torn up  the Hyde Amendment (terming it quaint and outmoded). While  they avidly support abortion on demand, taking innocent life  in the last trimester of pregnancy, birthing a vital infant only to set the infant aside —to die “comfortably”.

Today’s Catholics find the Dem leadership (Biden, Pelosi, Cuomo. etc etc) all “Catholics” in name only—who seem to have formulated their own “religion” of the left.  These hypocrites  openly cater to  anti religious zealots,  express disdain for conservative sexual values, support rampant promiscuity.   They oppose judgeship candidates who have ties To religious organizations such as the Knights of Columbus, as they  give  open support to violent mobs who deface churches, throw paint on religious statues, burn churches, attack the clergy, and defame the Church.

These “catholics” abandoned the precepts of their faith long ago for political expediency and vote harvesting—a existential necessity in a party which  looks askance at religiosity.of any stripe. But they continue to Claim identity as “Catholic” even as they undermine the values, life-ways and federal laws which protect the adherents of that faith.

When not facing voters at a ballot box these apostates undermine and attack the the very values of the faith they have for all practical purposes they abandoned .  They attack  the Hyde Amendment, ignore  family values of home, hearth, child raising,  religious education,  opposition to rampant promiscuous sexual  behaviors and show disdain for the religious fervor of the the faithful. Treating these faithful as somehow less deserving of political support or as “irredeemables”

A real practicing Catholic has no place in the tiny tent the modern Democrats  have erected around their minority demographic—anti God, anti Bible, pro-abortionists, pro LBGTQ+ community, pro sexual predators, religious iconoclasts , “antifa“ -supporting mobs, and church and priest haters.

Biden —who has dropped to his knees to the powers of the new left —supporting  every far left, anti Catholic  nail and plank in the New Democrat Far left  platform.  Yet when called out on his abandonment of religious principles by the President,  he has squealed like a stuck pig.

Biden has long ago made the hypocrites’ choice of hanging on to “I’m a Catholic” for votes only.  Don’t fall for his hypocrisy .

FAUCI and TRUMP

DrAnthony Fauci agreed with the leading question posed by CNBC interviewer Dr Sanjay Gupta.  Gupta’s query: Isit true that the USA “has the worst Covid 19 outbreak in the world?” Yes, said Fauci, “The numbers don’t lie”.

Of course we all know—Fauci included—that numbers do lie. Manipulating numerical data to make a political point  one way or another is a a lucrative cottage industry in Washington and in politics in general .and Fauci is part of that scene.  Gupta’s question being a prime exmple of that effort.  Fauci who has a long history as a presidential public health advisor going back to President Reagan, has an ego bigger than his physical stature would indicate. Perhaps those two factors are causally related and much of his verbal sparring with the President may be attributed to a bruised ego and a much more progressive political philosophy than that of the President he has promised to advise.

 Fauci who tries to present an aura of infallibility is now famous (or infamous) for a number of errors and misstatements of his own.  Early in the Covid 19 pandemic, Fauci stated that there was no need to wear masks.  His early advice: “no masks needed” was eventually altered to: “masks obligatory”.

In regard to treatment protocols, he has been  adamant in in his opposition to the use of the drug:  hydroxychloroquine.   When anecdotal evidence indicated that this long used (for 40 years) drug —widely and safely used as an immunosuppressant, anti-parasitic, and for lupus and arthritis treatment—showed promise in the early treatment of Covid19 and may have prophylactic effects, he belittled those who suggested its use   Though Fauci had no alternative evidence that “it was of no use’ he insisted that it be banned and circumscribed.   In response to his widely read statements —several poorly devised (and one actual phony study—later withdrawn from publication) attempted to “prove” just that.  But again —he was shown to be wrong —and more recently, new studies (double blind “gold standard”) studies have revealed the efficacy of the drug Especially when used to treat patients early in the infection.

And finally,  the “numbers don’t lie” statement to Sanjay Gupta during the CNBC interview are pure hyperbole—unbecoming and reeking of bias from a supposed scientist.   (Fauci states that the USA with “5% “ (sic) of the population has about 20% of Covid deaths”,using  numbers fraught with uncontrolled variables and unknowns . Total world population (@7.8 billion)includes densely populated nations with very little control in actual mortality data. (China India) as well as vast swaths of areas where people live in near isolation and to which this pandemic has not yet reached.  The comparison Fauci makes is not valid)

It seems that Fauci has a penchant for applying rigor to certain numbers —which he has some preconceived notions about (such as studies on hydroxycholoquine) while for him it’s just fine to use sloppy math, uncontrolled variables and hyperbole when describing something he favors or would like folks to believe.

So it was OK to claim that the raw mortality numbers  comparing the world’s most touristed, most affluent nation’s covid 19 infections were valid to use in comparison to other nations,  though they completely ignore population differences.

A true scientific approach in comparing national responses to the pandemic (fraught as they are with many differences in culture, genetics, obesity rates, comorbidities,  health care, etc.) is to eliminate as many variables as possible in the comparison.  The first would be controlling for population size -thus representing data as numbers per million population.   So viewing countries of vastly different population sizes and trying to claim something about how they are responding to the pandemic is meaningless —unless you are so politicized that you are simply trying to cast the US in a bad light.

Yes the USA does have the highest numbers of covid mortality—but it is a nation of 325 million.  We can not compare the raw data of the USA deaths to that of Andorra -a tiny nation (Pop 80,000) tucked away in isolation in the Pyrenees between Spain and France. In effect that is what Fauci did when he claimed: the “numbers don’t lie”.

On most reasonable characterizations of covid 19 mortality rates the USA is about 8th on the list of most impacted world nations in regard to Covid cases and mortality rates.

Fauci apparently has the habit of viewing  the “glass as half empty” rather than “half full”.  In this crisis we are faced with negativism all around us.  Our leadership should be presenting data in an unbiased format.  In this stage of our tribulations we do not need supposed specialist running around hanging black crepes of mourning like morticians in the nation’s public media.

Unlike Fauci’s ‘‘this is not going away” versus the Presidnt’s view —that “this will pass” (ridiculed by the media) the President is right.  Covid 19 will pass the same way other pandemics did —small pox, measles, polio, and other former diseases.  Real scientists know that these populations all reach  a peak  and then drop off precipitously.  So will Covid 19.   It too will pass on.

USA COVID WORST CASE? NOT USA ! SEE RECENT DATA

The USA has a fraction of the rate of covid 19 infections per million inhabitants and one of the lowest rates of mortality relative to confirmed cases than other similar nations.  

The USA is not the worst case of Covid 19 mismanagement and unpreparedness that the politicized US main stream media would like to portray.  In fact —unbiased data—shows that its response is better than average when compared to similar nations.  The US media outlets are so infected with another pandemic—Trump manic hatred—that they can not even present scientific data in an unbiased manner.  The data below is from Le Monde—the French  daily paper of record.

From the LeMonde data we can see that the USA ( 8th down the list) when compared to other highly populated affluent and advanced states is Well down the list—and appears to be dealing with the corona virus pandemic as well as can be expected—and certainly not worse than other similar advanced states. These data are of course fraught with difficulties when attempting a comparison—One must recon with population size, citiizen regimentation or lack of it, level of personal freedom in a nation, genetic homogeneity, cultural practices, existing morbidity factors, rates of obesity and heavy smoking, etc.,etc.,  etc.,  all can have an effect on infection and death rates. 

According  to Le Monde data there  were @700,000 confirmed deaths world wide out of total of  @18 million confirmed cases. Thus the world mortality rate for covid 19 is  @ 4%. If that is accurate then covid is 40 times more deadly than the common flu with a rate of only 0.1%  It’s noteworthy that the USA is slightly below the world average (at @ 3% mortality) and well below the other top ranked sates with regard to this disease, suggesting that our hospital care and medical response is better than average. 

It’s quite apparent to all of us now (See; Washington Post “Mapping World Wide Spread of Corona Virus “ August 1, 2020) that  the Washington Post, the NYT and other similar main stream media outlets are in the business of making the USA look bad—in every way they can—so as to deflate the political future of President Trump in the coming elections.  But it is unconscionable that a newspaper of record such as the Post will go to such lengths in a purely informative piece of journalism —to manipulate nformation which may be critical in the national response to the pandemic.  Such behavior is irresponsible—yellow— journalism .  

But what the actual unbiased data shows —see tabulation above—is that the USA is responding well and responsibly to the threats of the virus.  The actual data gives NO ONE  license to claim that the President or administration has been remiss in its handling of the pandemic. Though some media source go to great lengths even to manipulating pandemic data to make that seem so.  It is the Trump manic derangement syndrome in action.  Sadly in attempting to unseat, delegitimize and politically damage President Trump they hurt us all and embarrass themselves. 

WaPost Scrubs Data on Covid 19 to SmearUSA: Embarrass Themselves

The Washington Post prepared a “summary” of the Coronavirus pandemic data.  “Mapping worldwide spread of the coronavirus.  August 1, 2020. It’s an insult to any intelligent reader.  I recall that Sir Francis Bacon once wrote that “reading maketh a full man, conference maketh  a ready man  and writing maketh an  exact man”  Apparently the writers for the Post have simply not been writing enough to become exact men and women.  

In a review of the covid 19 data they seem to start with an idea of what the results should look like and then proceed to manipulate the information to get to that point.  Sir Francis Bacon would call that circular reasoning. In effect turning logic and science on its head. If you would like to be fooled and mentally manipulated read: Washington Post “Mapping worldwide spread of the coronavirus.  August 1, 2020.  See how they try to compare apples and oranges and give a totally misrepresentative picture of the pandemic.   

Below I report on a similar piece published in  Le Monde the French daily. The French are not so badly infected with Trump manic derangement syndrome.  Furthermore they do not have an election at hand so they are less likely to politicize all manner of reporting —as in the Post case even simple analysis of existing mathematical data. 

The report I recommend appeared in LeMonde (July 31, 2020): “The Current Corona Virus Crisis Will Affect Us for Decades.   According to a graph published and included in  the Le Monde piece concerns the  world covid 19 pandemic.  It reveals that the disease peaked around the beginning of April with about 10,000 deaths reported worldwide and and then slowly declined to about 4000 or 5000 deaths by June.  Subsequently, the world rate  has begun to rise again in a second wave.   At the date of this publication it was almost 6000 deaths worldwide. The last data points have shown a turn downward so it seems as though perhaps the second wave is now declining but slowly. 

The LeMonde editors were apparently aware that you simply can not compare  confirmed cases and death rates in nations around the world attempting to compare nations with hugely different population sizes.  Results from such an exercise are meaningless.  How can one compare the total deaths to covid 19 in Greece (pop 10 million) with the USA (320 million).  The population size variable must be eliminated for a valid comparison.   

Thus logically— like the French— they published a list of the ten front line nations and included  data based  on confirmed cases and deaths —per million population.  The numbers of cases is of course controlled by just how many tests a nation has completed.  However mortality —related to the disease—per million population I can be a better measure  of just how the disease is progressing in each of the nations.  According to a list compiled by the French newspaper the numbers of deaths per million list follows.
