Biden promises to send long range rockets to Ukraine.
Today the legacy press here in the USA report that President Biden, (faced with falling poll numbers, soaring inflation, petrol prices at all time highs, (($8.00 per gallon in California)), thousands of “irregulars” crossing the southern border each day from all over the world) is depressed and unclear as to why he is so unpopular. The fact that his popularity has sunk below that of his vilified and hated predecessor (Trump) particularly irks and worries him.
In response, he has taken a fistful of vitamin B12s, got pumped up on “uppers” and had his staff wheel him out of his basement bunker to a “talk’ with newly installed FED Chairman Jerome Powell, to discuss the nation’s main problem, soaring “inflation”. The results of that meeting will produce nothing. Since it is Biden himself who caused the problem, by prematurely and unwisely cutting the legs out from under the US oil industry, then unwisely pumping trillions of (borrowed) dollars into an already hot economy. If that was not enough, he ignored plaintive pleas from Russia for a diplomacy, and instead persisted in plans to create an armed outpost on Russia’s western border (reminiscent of our own Cuba missile crisis of October 1962) and then encouraged, and egged on Vladimir Putin to invade Ukraine. Biden foolishly imagined the invasion would become a useful domestic political distraction for him and his struggling administration, but was blissfully unaware of the fact that instead it would lead to more and deeper shortages of fuel, food and fertilizers and act to deepen the inflationary spiral he himself initiated.
His lack of a sound foreign policy in Ukraine has, as expected, helped to generate a dangerous, metastasizing cancerous-like military conflict in Central Europe with far ranging deleterious economic impacts. But gifted as he is with “anti Midas” powers which permit him to turn everything he touches into base metal (or in his case human waste) and for that reason, the war has gone from bad to worse. Since Biden does not learn from his many mistakes—only doubles down on them—he has now characteristically decided to exacerbate and escalate the conflict to new levels by sending long range rockets to Ukraine.
This can only prolong and intensify the conflict, cause more human casualties and refugees, and destroy more of Ukraine’s now tattered infrastructure. The impact on Ukraine’s neighbors and Europe will continue. Grains for human and livestock will continue to remain in short supply, ports will remain closed, heating oil, cooking oils and petrol will remain scarce. Shortages of these commodities will intensify the soaring inflation in Europe and drag those 27 nations into dreaded “stagflation”, a period of high inflation, rising unemployment and falling GDP—or the worst of all economic worlds.
Biden is helped along in his mission of world stagflation, death and destruction by a few leaders in that part of the world who now appear almost as incompetent as he is. The head of the 27’s largest economy, and heavy user of Russian oil and gas comes to mind as the head lemming coursing overland toward the economic cliff, as these foolish fellows follow Biden.
President Biden, is a weak desperate leader, flailing around like a loose cannon hoping somehow to improve his failing Presidency. Europe’s leaders should realize that he will do anything, including sacrifice Europe’s economy, and stability by prolonging the Ukraine conflict, and even stumble into WWIII, if it would alter the dreadful prospect of his failing presidency.
